Outreach Ministries
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
- Matthew 25:35-36
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
-1 John 3:18
As Christ continues to demonstrate his love to you, find some time to demonstrate Christ’s love to others within your community. At Prince of Peace, we hope to make that a little easier by providing some descriptions of ways our members are already involved – please consider giving your time, even if you can only give one hour a month. If you are hesitant to commit, please see the Events Page, and try to attend some of the many fundraisers throughout the year that contribute to these organizations.

Sturgeon Bay MOPS is held in Prince of Peace from 9:00-11:30 AM on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday mornings of each month. While women from the community build friendships, encourage each other and gain practical parenting strategies through teaching, guest speakers, discussion and fellowship, MOPPET workers are needed to care for their children. If you love to spend time with young children and think this ministry might be for you, please talk to Prince of Peace members Wendy Kraemer or Sue Smith.

Lakeshore Community Action Program (CAP)
The mission of Lakeshore CAP is to promote economic self-sufficiency and well-being of low-income persons through advocacy, community education, and resource development in Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties. The organization directly operates food pantry services. The pantries strive to provide a balanced, three- to five-day supply of donated food and commodities to income-eligible households. The pantries are client-choice, allowing the recipient to select food items preferred by members of the household. Clients also receive nutritional information and are referred to other community services as necessary. The pantries are managed by Lakeshore CAP staff, but operate with predominantly volunteer help. If you are interested in volunteering in Sturgeon Bay, please contact the pantry directly at 743-0192.

Compassion International
Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. Today, Compassion International helps more than 1 million children in 24 countries by assigning a child to a sponsor. If you are willing and able to contribute $32/month to sponsor a child, you enable your sponsor child to participate in a church-based program that offers life-changing benefits including help with learning development, health care, social-skills development and Christian training. The child you sponsor will know your name, write to you and benefit directly from your monthly sponsorship. In return, you can help your sponsored child develop a sense of confidence and self-worth by the love you express through letters and prayers. If you are interested in sponsoring a child, talk to Prince of Peace members Darlene Kellow or Sue Smith, or see the website www.compassion.com.
Prince of Peace Fundraising Team
We provide fundraising events (concerts, festivals, & other events) throughout the year to raise funds for the organizations listed above. If you have an idea for an event or want to be a part of the team that organizes an event, please see Pastor Nathan Lewis.
