MOPS
MOPS [Mothers of Preschoolers] meetings are scheduled every 2nd and 4th Tuesday through September and April at 9:00 am to 11:30 am at Prince of Peace Church, 1756 Michigan Street. The group has grown to over 25 moms and 35+ children.
MOPS International is a respected international outreach ministry that strives to meet the needs of every mom with children from birth through kindergarten. Women can come to MOPS
meetings just as they are to build friendships, be encouraged and gain practical parenting strategies through teaching, guest speakers, discussion and fellowship…all while their children from infants through kindergarten are lovingly cared for in the MOPPETS program.
Some of the speaking topics we hope to cover this year are as follows:
- Various speeches from MOPS DVD “What Every Mom Needs”
- “Conversations With Your Children” led by Judy Price
-
“Advice from the Doctor” led by pediatrician, Dr. Trew Stransky - “Intimacy” led by Pediatric Nurse, Wanda Mango
- “Depression” speaker to be determined
- “Forgiveness” speaker to be determined
- “It’s My Body” Pamper Day speaker to be determined
